may be you should try to just click on the file in the rtorrent if you have IDM (internet download manager. available free trial from its site). it should start downloading automatically.

or you you want full access to your seedbox drive, you can use "netdrive". its free and pretty easy to handle too

I set up rtorrent on Aamazon EC2 with nginx. Its running on Ubuntu oneric.
Sorry, deadwings. I went over your response to quick and didnt get all the info.

Your http server nginx does support resumable http downloads by default. And from what I understand IDM should too? But what you are doing is clicking "get data" in rutorrent? That seems to generate a one time download link (it's php). I just tried it with mine. And I cant resume either. So you cant use this to download your files (if you want the resume function). Your http server is already up and running. Now you have to figure out a way to get to your files. Did you try entering only your IP adress to connect to your sever?

I am not sure how nginx is configured by default. But you want to read this now http://wiki.nginx.org/Configuration and have a look at your configuration file. That should be in "/usr/local/nginx/conf/nginx.conf". Look for something like this

    Code:
     root /home/domain.com
and make sure it directs to your files. Also you have to turn on directory listing (auto index). Take a look at this link: http://serverfault.com/questions/347...ginx-autoindex

I quickly googled that stuff. So you have to make sure it fits your config and your environment. But you should have something to start with.
