Default How do I access Netflix w/OpenVPN?

Hey fellow T-i members, As the title follows, I want to know how to access Netflix with openVPN, and as far as I know you need American IP inorder to be able to register as a member on Netflix. Now how do I exactly change the IP of the openVPN? Does someone know how to configure this? Thanks in advance

You can't change the IP of the OpenVPN--it's the IP address of whatever box is hosting the OpenVPN server. If you need an American IP, you'll need to use an OpenVPN server located in the USA (or with a USA IP address).

Yeah, that was what I was thinking, because I wasn't able to find anywhere (even on google) how to change the IP of the openVPN, it seems as you said the IP is of that country where it is hosted. But is there any good and trusted openVPN providers, providing "different or multiple IPs of different countries"?

You can use Unblock-Us, where you just change your DNS settings. It's aimed specifically at services like Netflix, BBC IPlayer. If you use it on your PS3 or XBox, you don't even need to sign up, just enter the DNS in your network settings. I think you only need to sign up/subscribe if you want to browse normally with it. You're probably supposed to subscribe using it on consoles, but there appears to be no way they can actually enforce this. Depends on if you have a soul or not :P

    Guides:

    1.X-box 360 instructions
    2. PS3 instructions
    3. Wii instructions
    4. Apple TV instructions
    5. PC (Vista) instructions
    6. iPhone/iPad/iPod instructions
    7. Any other devices

Edit: You may actually need to sign up for the trial to install the app.

I've seen a lot of recommendations on T-I for AirVPN.org, which does have U.S. servers. I've never used it, though, so I can't recommend it personally.

    Hi

Ok so this is what I did.

    Free Option
At first I used Hotspot Shield US VPN client software (free and add supported) for the PC.
I googled 'Hotspot Shield for iPhone' to get login information for US VPN for the iPhone.

    Paid Option
Eventually though I ended up paying for a VPN service.
I run it from virtual box on a guest o/s logged permanently to a US IP. It frees up my host O/S to access the internet with my own IP and bandwidth.

I currently use Pandora, Hulu, Netflix(using the 30 day free trial only), Spotify, Last FM and also sites like Comedy Central, Vevo etc.

    Well worth the money.
