Default need litle help creating a torrent

I just opened a seedbox and have 3-4 files I would like to upload/create torrent for in rutorrent. I have moved most the files over using ftp but can't seem to get them into rutorrent. When I do I get an error(the arrow is red). Am I doing something wrong?

Tessa12, you uploaded the *.torrent file to your tracker site and downloaded it from there again. And the downloaded *.torrent file is the one you added in rutorrent?

edit: Forget what i said, I wasnt reading your post. It probably is the IP. But there's usually a FAQ about stuff like this on the tracker site.

    Hope this clears some confusions.

First the files must be in your seedbox file manger.
You create the .torrent using your seedbox.
For the Torrent Properties (which/where you add the tracker with your passkey)
When finished save it the .torrent file to the desktop.
You should have a red arrow in your seedbox.
Next you upload this .torrent file on your desktop to that tracker.
After you upload the .torrent file go back to your seedbox.
right click the torrent (with the red arrow) and click "Update Tracker"

I had done most of those steps. What url would I need to use in the tracker properties for revtt? I did not see a 'Update Tracker' but see 'Force Re-check'...same thing?

Do You have SSH access? This is how I make my torrents: mktorrent -v -p -a tracker.url.goes.here -o torrentname.torrent "fileyouwanttomakeintoatorrent"

My process was: used filezilla to transfer files. Created torrent in rutorrent using announce url(might be wrong). Saved to desktop. Back in rutorrent I added the file that I just saved. And it still showed the red arrow for the torrent as an error. I posted the error I get in the op.

you need to to upload the torrent to revtt

then others can download it and then you can seed it

it under force recheck, and no its not the same thing.

Force recheck re-check the hash ( mostly used for cross seeding)

Ipdate tracker send all your downloaded and upload amount to the tracker to update so the stat shows.
