hey people if anyone can advise what to do?
when i force recheck the completed torrent it starts to download it from the beginning rather than seeding the already completed one
the files are the same ,im trying to cross seed ,can anyone tell me why?

It can be different things, I try this too occasionally. Often it is because one release is in rar files and the other is unpacked. Double and triple check whether the files are 100% identical.![]()
It's possible that the other tracker made a slight change in the file names or some other change.
Try to check if the files are identical with hashtab: HashTab tool to quickly find file hash information
the files are EXACTLY the same ,i checked the filelist on the other tracker and they are the same, and Libchamp, ill have to download the same thing just to check its hash?..i just want utorrent to accept the first files.
Well if it's compressed to multiple rars it's possible that they have added something small to it thus they have the same names and practically the same size but there's a slight difference.
Just one of the files will be enough to compare the hash.
BTW, check for dots, spaces and underscores in the file names and also for version if it's a program.
If it is the EXACT same build with rars, nfo, sfv, etc....then just right click it, select properties and add the tracker instead of having 2 different .torrents in the utorrent gui.
Actually this is a good way to get banned for cheating.
When you upload the same torrent to two trackers both trackers receive the same info, so if the torrent doesn't have leechers on one tracker and on the other there are leechers, both trackers will see you upload data. It's easy to detect btw.
Thanks for that info LibChamp. I have been doing that for a long time on the server, guess maybe I should not anymore. Didnt think that could happen if the trackers are private.
