Thread: hd-torent.org won't load (connection timeouts)

about a week ago i lost the ability to get HDT's website to load (both firefox and IE). at first i thought the site was down (which happens now and then with most sites). but apparently the site is up and running.

it's the only tracker that i can't access. i mean i can't even get the page to load (connection timeouts). i've cleared my cache and flushed DNS and i still can't even get anything to load.

this isn't a case of having my account disabled. i just can't get the damn page to load (3 different computers, 2 different OS).

any help would be appreciated.

For future reference a pretty accurate result to check if a site is up or down are
isup.me/ and
Down For Everyone Or Just Me -> Check if your website is down or up?

Do you have certain IPs/hosts blocked with the host file?
Do you use certain IP blockers or a program that manually controls outgoing connections?

or you can type in their IP address : 91.121.7.137

and see if it works.

yes, it was just a typo in the header.

i checked my HOSTS file and the IP wasn't listed. i do not use any IP blockers or any other software that controls outgoing connections.

this is the 1st time i have ever had this problem (other than website downtimes). it was working fine one day and then i couldn't access the site the next (no new software installations or other changes during that time).

no problems with any other site.

It works for me right now

i tried that as well and i still get the same result.

I not sure but maybe someone else with your computer

Check : C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

Open up host file using notepad.

Make sure it it looks like the picture below

yeah, that's basically what my HOSTS file looks like.

thank you for your assistance. i really appreciate you taking the time to help me.

since i'm going through painful withdrawl from having to go without one of my favorite trackers, i broke down and signed up with a VPN service. i tried all the US servers with no luck, so i tried germany and got in with no problem.

I'm glad your problem was resolved, but you should at least consider talking with the HD-Torrents staff about your usage of a VPN because it's forbidden at nearly all trackers. I don't mean to be mean, but it's also banned on torrent-invites.com.

Your problem is kind of interesting, because apparently, and I'm glad for you, your account on this tracker is still active and that means there must be something wrong with a configuration.

can any body tell me please the new URL of the site , there is problem with me in entering the site
