Thread: irc help

Hi, I have apparently been banned from my first tracker (ScienceHD) and unfortunately my favorite tracker yet. I just joined yesterday none the less. My question is that I would like to get on their irc support channel, to get this cleared up, but not sure how I connect.

What I have done so far is, I downloaded limechat since I am on a mac.

Found this information on the web: ScienceHD
irc.forpirates.net | +6697 | #scihd, #scihd-support

What do I do with this? I have tried to enter this information into limechat but I receive a "Operation Time Out" error each time.

What do I enter for a password? How do I connect to their channel in general?

Please forgive my ignorance, I am new to all this.

Any help regarding this issue would be greatly appreciated.

To connect top the ScienceHD support channel first you have to open your favorite IRC client..

Then when the blank screen comes up..

type in: /server irc.forpirates.net

This should connect you to the ScienceHD Irc channel

Next, you want to join their specific room so you

Type in: /join #scihd-support

Then you should be in their support room :)

I keep getting a "Time out" error.

I know that this probably can not be explained anymore simply but I believe I am missing something still.

Yes, I first used limechat and the picture posted above is using Linkinus.

aha i tried connecting to the ScienceHD irc and their irc server is down

so give it sometime ;)
