Thread: I've installed autodl-irssi plugin, but I don't have an icon for it.

I'm running rutorrent 3.3 and I don't have the icon for the filters configuration. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong, please? Thanks you.

How did you install autodl-irssi?
Did you follow a tutorial?
Did you use a certain script?
Did you get any error message at any point?

We need more information to solve your problem, because the question is very vague.
If you have installed autodl-irssi, but without the rutorrent plugin you can always just edit the filters/irc servers and trackers via command-line.

I followed all the steps to a T and I still don't get the icon. I've tried to command line and I don't get anything from it. I must have went wrong some place. I don't get error and my irc nick goes in to the chat but...nothing.

The tutorial you followed is just for installing autodl-irssi, but you have never installed the rutorrent plugin. Everything is fine then, you just need to type the following command to edit the filters:

nano ~/.autodl/autodl.cfg

Just to clarify, this works totally independently from rutorrent and the rutorrent plugin is just a fancy, but useless GUI for exactly what you have installed.
You say that your bot joins the IRC servers, does that mean that you have edited autodl.cfg? Have you also edited your passkey in the specified format and a filter that should have already been triggered?
What do you have set for the following options?

upload-type =
upload-watch-dir =

Or haven't you done that yet, if yes you need to just edit your autodl.cfg file to add the passkey, IRC servers and filters. How you can do that is explained more thoughtfully in the link you provided.

I edited the file, I just can't get it to download. I'm pretty bad when it comes to this and some of it is chinese to me and I can't wrap my head around it. I just sent a request to whatbox and asked them if I can get access to sudoers file. Hopefully they will allow this.

OK, so my seedbox provider said I don't have access to it and he refers me to the page I listed above. I'm stuck
