There are some cheaters and traders from countries like Romania and Arabia, for example and that's a fact. The tracker admins now try to ban those FEW individuals, but because of dynamic IP address it's impossible. Depending on your ISP you just have to restart your router and you get assined a new IP, that means that they could easily create another account. Because the new IP you get assign is still from the same ISP and country they use country bans, because otherwise they it would be impossible to protect themselves against it. It's a techincal problem and they don't generalize, but in this case a few ones ruin it for the whole country.
I'm pretty sure that in gross numbers they have much more americans cheating/duping/****in around than anywhere else. in gross numbers, not on ratio, but still LOTS of people that can have a thousand accounts just because they live in america :)

The topic is over, I just wanted to add that it's a technical problem and not prejudices.
You have to keep in mind that every cheater tries to create multiple accounts and traders may try to create 10+ accounts on a tracker.

I don't think so, but I don't really want to talk about the specifics in public, if you want to more about this matter you can PM me.

    I love the irony though.

If you need help feel free to PM me, but keep in mind that asking for an invite is not considered help.

any form of "country ban" is no less than racial discrimination, people who say like "ther are many cheaters in that country thts y the drastic step or the admins are under heavy pressure" are those who come from the "unbanned countries" list, so like ya since internet freedom is of high importance nowadays i feel no tracker should implement a country ban, but then again its just my point of view, no harm intended to any1, happy new year to all.

PS: disgard color/race etc because at the end its the human in you that matters

regarding the issue at hand : That message is because of the ISP problems of TL server. For the past few weeks they have been facing it... and when you do see a message like that, in all probability, the site will be up in a matter of minutes. It has nothing to do with country bans.

regarding the off-topic discussion: every tracker has their own reason to ban a specific country.

eg. Israel was banned till recently on SCC because a VIP had paid money using a stolen credit card as a result of which the scc paypal account was freezed etc etc and they lost quite a few grands. A lot of cases of payment through stolen credit card happened with SCC hence they banned the entire country. ( this happened like a couple of years ago )

India was banned on SCC simply because scores of users with their dialups just couldn't keep up with the users from other countries. As a result of which accounts got disabled. These users used to constantly whine about their ISPs and ask for 'one more chance' which was irritating to say the least. So they imposed a sign-up BAN on India.

So on the outset country ban may seem outrageous, but from the point of view of SysOPS it is a convenient way to get over the head ache. SYSops have other bigger things to worry about... like DDoS attacks and security from FBi and other miscreants.

ps. I am from INDIA and I have been a member of SCC for like 5 year now..

For future reference, you can always double check via isup.me or other such sites to verify whether a site is up or down.

its easy if u have a seedbox u can browse the net via firefox with your seedbox ip address using a plugin. So u can hold an account for a banned site

I don't think it's a matter of finding an inviter who is with that condition, at least here on this forum.

If your country is banned from a particular tracker, do NOT request an invite planning to use a proxy or some other anonymizing service to conceal your IP.
