    Ermm ok....

First of all was the Trojan from a certain torrent you had downloaded? or just from accessing the websites?

Also just wondering, sorry if you know all this anyway....but...which browser do you use? also do you have up to date internet security? Also do you use pop up blockers? I'm asking all of this as sometimes it's the software we use which needs updating from threats like that. Once we know these details we can guide you with which software/programs would be the best and safest to use.

I'm just wondering as I have used those sites in the past and have never had a problem with them.

First of all i don't understand all you written here but i will mention a few points that any user like you need to know and follow.

    1. Never use public trackers. They are full of junk, viruses and fake torrents. Stick to private trackers and you will not have any problems with all this kind of stuff you have problem now. Again never user private trackers they are not safe, torrents are not well seeded and public trackers are not well organized and moderated. Also don't use any kind of software downloaded from "google" you won't found any valid licence key or any stuff for free if it's not open source. You can use private trackers for software like this.

    2. If you have any kind of malware on your computer you can scan with any kind of stuff but there will be still some of bad files/programs left. Fresh install of your operating system it's way to go but remember to save any personal data before you do this. I must suggest here that everyone should consider to try linux if you use your computer for non-gaming. I must say that ubuntu have improved so much over this past year that is now user friendly ever to the people that have no experience with linux at all. And what is the most important point of linux that you are completely safe no virus can run on it. If you decide for windows as many of them do you need to have firewall (integrated in windows is fine) and most the important antivirus. I must say that any antivirus can't stop all the bad stuff you can get of the net and the only solution is to use our brain when we click on the sites and the links on the web. Be smart and your computer will be clean...

It is well known that a lot of people post fake files on public trackers or usenet, because everybody can do what they wont, without regulations. That's the mean reason why you should start to switch to private trackers as soon as possible. Private trackers have a lot of moderators that will delete a fake torrent as soon as possible and the uploader will get in trouble as well, you should also note that must trackers have special requirements for uploaders.

If you are already infected by malware your best choice is to make a complete reinstallation of your operating system like specialized has already suggested. You should either copy your personal and important files to an external drive or back up the data with a program, but you should be careful not to backup too much or too little data.

Linux would be an excellent choice as operating system, because it's safe and has options for beginners as well as intermediates. If you prefer a payed 'version' with a nice design you can also choose Mac OSX, because it has the same code base as Linux: Unix.

Mac OSX and also all Linux distributions (Ubuntu is probably the most user friendly one) aren't 100% safe against malware, even though it's much more complicated to build them. Also if you run wine (able to run Windows applications) it's as vulnerable against malware as a computer running windows as OS.

    Tips for the future:

    • Make sure your browser is blocking all popups for security reasons and also because it's only advertisements. (poker, porn ...)
    • Use on operating system for browsing and another one for gaming, the former one shoult not be windows.
    • Use a Unix based operating system (Linux or Mac)
    • Install ad blockers for your browser and only enable javascript when you need it (maybe it's because I'm paranoid, but I do that)
    • Don't run a program if you don't trust the developer fully, especially cracks and things like that

If you need help feel free to PM me, but keep in mind that asking for an invite is not considered help.

the trojan in question simply materializes through clicking on the site as when useing the new windows you will search befor you add the site or with DMD it seems to have a little time fuse it appears like 20 minits into the dmd browse sesstion so some differance it the effect there no biggie just thought maybe others were getting the same scenario ?i suppose it could be getting the ip but i use a dsl router anyways" leave that one up to the guesswork
    thanks
