    Default Utorrent recheck folders issue

    Hi guys,

I'm facing a problem regarding the recheck function in utorrent.

I had a TV show being seeded to freshon and BTN (both had different directory names, but I did not duplicate the files. The torrents were pointing to the same folder).
I moved the folders, and know I don't remember how to do a proper recheck. If I set a folder name to match BTN, the freshon won't work and vice-versa.

If I use the relloctate function I end up missing a few MBs, which weren't missing before!!!

    How can I fix this?

    Thanks :)

I don't quite understand....you say they had different directory but both were poiting to same folder???

BTW...don't change the actual folder name...just right click on the torrent and it should have a save to or destination file option you can choose and poit it at the file and then right click the torrent again and force recheck..

just delete the torrent and start it over again. This time make sure you point it in the correct location.

    or

Right click the torrent then click advanced then click set download location and when it ask for overwrite ... Click no.

Next click force recheck. then when it finish make sure you make it seed.

Is it possible that one of the .torrents is supposed to have a sample file included, but the other one doesnt? That can be the reason why you are missing a few percent of the hash recheck.

You should definitely just delete the torrent (NOT the files), add the torrent again and this time select the correct folder - recheck and it should work.

It's also possible that we all get your question wrong, because it's a little bit confusing, at least for me.

If you need help feel free to PM me, but keep in mind that asking for an invite is not considered help.

Thanks everyone for the replies, but I wasn't able to make it work.

I've attached a picture that explains my problem. Those two first torrents that are from freshon are stopped because the folders don't match, but they didn't match before and all was working fine. I just don't remember what I did before to make it work :(

The rellocate function isn't the solution because after the recheck it says that I'm missing a hundred MBs, which isn't true. Again, I just moved the folders, all was working fine and seeding!

    See the pic:

Thank you very much for your help :)

To be honest I don't even exactly know what your problem is, but I will try my best.

You were cross seeding a torrent from Freshon to BTN and it was working fine, but after you have moved the files you can't get it to work anymore, right?
Then you moved it back and it was working again, right again?

Why did you move the files a 3rd time, to the location where it isn't working?

If you move the data files, delete the torrent and reload the torrent again, but this time select the new location of the files, make sure to check 'don't download torrent automatically' and recheck. Does it work then?

If you need help feel free to PM me, but keep in mind that asking for an invite is not considered help.

ok i have checked the torrents here is my theory

BTN torrent does not have nfo file while freshon does which might conflict with hash check
even so it explains missing of 4 MB but still i can't get it how you are missing few 100 mbs

here is what i suggest you to do
1 - delete both torrent files
2 - redownload them and first hashcheck for BTN torrents
3 - use relocate function for freshon torrents and than hashcheck
4 - then plz post screenshot of the files section of torrent in utorrent which shows which part of the file is missing

i want to see exactly which part of file is missing
    temporary solution
only complete hashcheck with BTN first and let it seed as 100 % for seedbonus
seed freshon torrent as uncomplete download by setting dnt download for the uncompleted file

I still quite don't understand why you would get a 100MB difference...

Try renaming the .torrent to match the folder name and do a recheck...don't chang the folder name..
If you can't change the .torrent name then try re-downloading the .torrent and 'save as' the same as the folder name....then do a recheck..

So in your case the folders are matching BTN torrent name so change the freshon .torrent to match the name..

I know this doesn't sound like it should work...BUT...as you said that if you change the folder name to match the torrent then the matching torrent seeds properly so i thought mite as well give it a try and see if it works alright with this suggestion.

Well, I deleted the torrents and downloaded them again. Then I did a recheck and everything was okay (no I'm not cross seeding :) ). Back to normal :)

Thanks to everyone who helped out! :)
