Thread: Watch movie immediately

Hi,

Ive wonder if you can watch a movie immediately after ive download it with rutorrent.
Ive Filezilla, for transfer, but is there a faster possible way to direct watch the movie without to transfer to my PC?

Without some form of transfer to your PC? No thats not possible.

You need to at least stream it to your PC, but i would not recommend that unless you have a stable internet connection with a speed of at least 10 Mb/s if you are watching something in HD.

If you are in windows, I recommend the following:

1. Setup an SSH account for yourself on your box, if you haven't already.

2. Download the content you would like to view.

3. Download "ExpanDrive". A tool that will map your server as a drive on your local PC.

*NOTE: ExpanDrive provides a 30-day free trial from its site. Otherwise, just download it off any tracker.

4. Point it to your server. Selecting the SFTP option and using your SSH user and pass.

5. Install XBMC (XBox media center)

6. Set your newly mapped drive as a source for videos. (This is pretty self-explanatory via the settings. If you can't figure it out, there are numerous guides available.)

7. Open said source, click the video you want to watch.

8. Enjoy!


*NOTE: The quality you will be able to stream will depend on your connection speed. Download both HD and SD and test them out, so you know which you'll be able to do.
