Default Hypotetical question: Is this trading?

    So imagine the following.
You do a give away and you find a nice torrent freak to join your great private tracker site.
Then a month later the guy you invited got some great invites for another great private tracker.
You have been desperately trying to get on to that tracker.
When the person you invited hears about this he immediately sends you the invite.
Because he is a good guy and he is still thankful for the invite he got a month ago from you and all the help you have given him to get around on that great private tracker of yours.

    Would this be considered trading?
If I give an invite to somebody, can that person never ever give one of his invites to me because that would be considered as trading and we would loose or accounts?

i don't think it is. 1 month went pass. You invite him hoping to get nothing in return. He gave you a invite because he was grateful.

I wouldn't have thought so. As long as you don't strike a deal like give me x and i will give you y then surely its not trading.
Making friends and then them trusting you enough to send you an invite is what its all about in my opinion.

Trading is basically I give you something and you IMMEDIATLY gave me something IN RETURN.

To answer your question it's not trading, but it always depends how much time between those two actions was/will be.
I think most people, or at least the older members have given an invite to someone they have already received something or the other way round. At one point everybody has to be connected with anybody, because there aren't enough people especially in the high level trackers.

If he offered you the invite some time after you have already sent him the invitation I don't think there is any issue, because trading means exchanging something and not giving someone something without expecting anything in return. In this case you get something in return, but you never expected it.
I think this can get extremely phylosphical.

If you need help feel free to PM me, but keep in mind that asking for an invite is not considered help.

    I highly doubt it..

Trading would be to stipulate that..... "i will only give you the invite if you give me...."

If you said to him.... "i will give you an invite if when you get an invite for your tracker, then you will have to give it to me" would have been trading.

I would love to be in a situation where i can help out someone who helped me out previously....it's a way to show your appreciation and nothing wrong

Your friend could join TI, do a giveaway, you could then apply for an invite and have an equal chance like everyone else. I think that would be the safest way because then everything is documented, ya know. :) Just don't say something in your app like "Remember me, I gave you dadda". which then could look more like trading then an application for invite.

Thx guys, your thoughts on this are mostly the same as my thoughts on this.
I just wanted to know how strict the trading rules are.
