First you should make an introduction to become a full members of this community: http://www.torrent-invites.com/start...tion-form.html

Secondly I can recommend you to check out our tutorial section to get a better insight about private trackers and how you can stay alive on them:
    BitTorrent
I can specifically recommend you these tutorials that will make your life in private trackers a lot easier:
10 Tips and Tricks for Private BitTorrent Sites
How To Build Up A Good Ratio On Registered Trackers
    The Popular Torrent Myth

Then you should take a look into our excellent tracker review section to make your mind about which trackers you even want to choose:
    Tracker Reviews

And finally you should go to the Area51 (the 10%, section, after your introductions has been approved) and try to get invites for the trackers you want to be a member of.

Last, but not least: Write as many helpful/interesting posts as possible to gain in ranks and respect from the community to get access to eve better invites.

If you need help feel free to PM me, but keep in mind that asking for an invite is not considered help.

TPB is a public tracker, I would recommend steering clear from creating torrents & seeding on there for extended periods of time.

As for what to do with your 150GB of software.. If it's in its original scene-packed RAR's, the original directory, and has the NFO.. you can use uTorrent to "Create Torrent" .. then you just upload that torrent file to the private tracker you are on -- If they don't already have that torrent. It will spit out a customized torrent that has the tracker URL of that private tracker in it, then you just add that new torrent file to your uTorrent.

Be careful though, lots of private trackers are very strict about having people upload scene-only releases. No home-brew stuff. It will get you banned.

I had no problems when using utorrent for other private trackers i use, but when i try downloading from alphaomega, i get this error, " an attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions" ...i am running utorrent as an administrator forever, but did not work, for alphaomega, any suggestions?

Have you checked whether your version is allowed? µTorrent is probably the most popular BitTorrent client there is, so it is not very probable that they banned it. Have you checked the forum whether other people report the same problem or posted yours there? They recently made an upgrade to their system, so there might be some glitches to iron out, but there is no general ban of µTorrent as such -- at least I did not notice anything to that end in AlphaOmega's rules.

    Good luck.

yes, it has got nothing to do with utorrent. I use peerblock and it seemed to block a particuar IP and it kept updating the same....so had to stop utorrent, clear the peerblock log and restart the torrent file from alphaomega and allowed that particular IP permanently, now it works fine. Glad i found the solution somehow.
