    Did you even try using ls -a , because .rtorrent.rc is a hidden file?
    I have checked out the script you used and it's exactly in /home/username/.

    For private trackers you should always use at least this:
    dht=disable
    peer_exchange=no

    # = comment therefore it's ignored

    I assume you have one or multiple HDD's on your seedbox/VPS/server, right?
    The more torrents you have active, worse download, the more your HDD has to work and it can't keep up with the speeds. You should try autodownloading ONE 'big' torrent from a fast tracker and have no other torrents active, only this way you can achieve the best possible speed.
    The right configuration is also important, but not as important as people think unless it's totally screwed up.

    If you need help feel free to PM me, but keep in mind that asking for an invite is not considered help.

    You should enable set rTorrent settings > advanced > preload_type to "madvise settings", that will lower HDD usage.

    Watch CPU load indicator, if it's close to 100% than you are near or over the limits of your HDD speed and you need to stop some active torrents to let SCC hot torrent to get max speeds. after some period SCC torrent speed will drop and CPU load too, that means you can activate paused torrents.

    Another solution would be to have dedicated seedbox/HDD only for SCC, that's how I use it, have one box that only grabs from SCC.
