If I understand this correct then your game crashes always when you load a certain part of the game, right?

Is this a legit version or a cracked one? (probably the most important info)

start a new game ...starting video goes off smoothly ...as i try to walk towards my first objective . game crashes

There are a lot of variables here, so the error may be caused by a multitude of things. The most likely of course being that there were errors or bugs in the way that the game was patched or modified. Have you confirmed that the game crashes on other Windows 7/64 computers? Other OS versions? Tried downloading the game again? Tried a copy of the game originating from another source?

Are you getting a windows halt (windows freezes aka BSOD or minidump errors)? If so, then you should seek more information by analyzing the windows minidump. If not, then please explain where you got the error information in your original post from.

We really need more information before we can begin to narrow this down.

If it works on other computers the only reason for these crashes can be that the data of the game is corrupt, but this alone can be mean hundreds of different variables, as Copper already stated (beaten, again ...)
You should also look in the comments from where you got the game, do others have the same problems? This would indicate a fasely cracked game with corrupted or missing data. The fact that it always crashes at the same point (action) also indicates that the game is trying to load the required data - can't find it - error - error handleing isn't specified and threfore it crashes.

As Copper stated we need a more information.

I will try to download another copy from another tracker ..... I'l let you guys know.
