Thread: Rep help

So I've been hanging out and giving out some great invites and posting some things and don't have much rep. How am I suppose to hit 33% when no one really knows how to give rep out (or they just don't)?

Now I'm not complaining at all, I just want to know how to get over this hurtle? All the good info that I know to post is already posted so no point there so I thought giving great stuff away would be a slam dunk winner but it's not looking that way?

Thanks to anyone who can help me with my dilemma and yes I know I don't have my month in yet but I'm a bit of an impatient sole!

Just be active, make friends and the rep will come, eventually.

It actually all comes down to helping others as much as possible and giving thoughtful responses to every thread you reply to, because that's also what you want.
If you have any expertise you should try to make a tutorial and it doesn't even have to be related to bittorrenting. We have members with a lot of different interests and every knowledge is welcome.

Also if you have a tracker or a site that you think it interested, but hasn't been reviewed go ahead and do it. This also applies for old reviews that need to be redone.

The more valuable and rare invites are you give away the more likely it is that people will give you rep for it, even those that don't apply.

Helping others in help threads will usually also be rewared with reputation, but sometimes it doesn't. I have to agree with you that most of the new users don't know how to give reputation, but it outways it because the more rep you get the higher your reputation power is.

Read a bunch of them and just though I was missing something. I'll keep working harder to earn a good rep. Thanks for the help and also thanks to Magister for the great reply. This is a very wonderful group and has helped me so much.

Also, if you make an informative and helpful post somewhere that affects a lot of users, you'll get a steady stream of rep points long after you made the post.

After being here for a while the points start to add up.

You are not really missing out much. 33% invites as almost the same as 10%.
