    Default Help With PTP Autodl-Irssi

    Hey Guys, I was wondering if i can get some help. I am having problems monitoring the ptp-announce channel using the irssi plugin in rutorrent. I went ahead and setup my client as follows after i registered my site nick using the /msg nickserv register pw email command...

    Server - irc.passthepopcorn.me
    Nick = (MySiteNick)
    Password = (MySitePassword)
    Email= (MysiteRegisteredEmailAddress)
    Port = 6667
    IRC channel = #ptp-announce
    INvite Command = /msg Hummingbird ENTER (mysitenick) (MyIRCKey) (#ptp-announce)

    After I set all this up i should get monitoring #ptp-announce but i only get Identified Nick! message.

    Can you tell me what i am doing wrong? THe other tracker i currently have setup in irssi plugin is scc and its working ok.

    Thanks in advance.

    It seems to be everything except for the server, because their current server is irc.omgwtfhax.net, which is the same server BTN is using.
    If you plan to set up autodl for BTN in the near future you should keep this in mind, because you only need to add another announce channel.

    I hope this solves your problem.

    I haven't really looked into it, but it's possible that they use bith servers, which would be strange, but still. If they do you could also use irc.passthepopcorn.me, but you would have to edit the configuration of autodl-irssi, because the current version only works natively with the new server.

    Ok. A bit confused. Which is the old server? passthepopcorn.me or omgwtfhax.net? So what exactly do i need to edit in the autodl-irssi.pl file and where. Thanks For The Help..

    The autodl-irssi plugin you use will only work with irc.omgwtfhax.net nativly and you will have to edit the configuration files to add any other server.

    Does it work now?

    No. Not working. I am not sure what to edit in the autodl-irssi.pl and there is no settings that tell me that the old server is being used except in the passthepopcorn.tracker file. In this file there is a parameter to use irc.omgwtfhax.net server. I changed this to passthepopcorn.me and announce channels #ptp-announce, #ptp-announce-ssl are set by default. In the Irssi-plugin in rutorrent i can see the server now changed from old to the passthepopcorn.me but still it wont monitor the channel even after i set the irc servers to point to the new server. It only identifies my nick so i assume i can connect to the new server.

    I will play some more with it but let me know what else you think i should do to resolve this.

    Thanks

    This is what i use and works for me:
    irc.passthepopcorn.me<----- is the current one, the other is the old one
    Port: 7000 SSL
    Nick, Password, email filled in
    Channel: #ptp-announce-ssl
    Invite Command: /msg Hummingbird ENTER Username IRCKEY #ptp-announce-ssl

    Cappa - Is your username the same as the nick you use for IRC?
