Well good news! WD sent me a router with a new chord. I tried the new chord with my old hdd and it worked. so i just had a bad cord. wd are just some dumb assess, all they told me was my drive was bad and to take my losses.

That is great news droidlover. Nice to hear that the drive turned out to be okay + you can access your photos again. \O/

With troubleshooting it never pays to assume anything, it is always better to check each step. And it turned out great this time. Please, please back up those important photos when you get a chance though. All hard drives fail eventually and it's kinda unpredictable as to when in the future that might happen. So back anything important up and then you sleep better knowing that you have two copies.

Just happy to hear that you got the photos back though. Cheers

Glad to hear it was the simple fix...:P I personally dislike WD a lot, but their drives are so cheap, its hard to say no at times. Now that you went through all of this, I would recommend, that you backup, your back up..lol I know you suggested that earlier as a joke, but I really do this..:P YOu don't have to back up everything multiple times, just the things that you never want to loose, cause All drives will break..:(
