hi guys, I am very inexperienced about it
what is the best low cost (my budget is max 15$ monthly) to run a tracker

i am not anywhere near an expert on this, but seems to me that running a tracker costs substantially more than $15/month, considering how much trackers ask for in donations. i expect most of the cost goes to the servers, and you need good quality ones to prevent downtime
on another note, why are you trying to run a tracker? i feel most, if not all, niches have been filled to some level and if you have unique content to contribute, you could simply add it to a general tracker or something similar.

the Italian situation, with respect to the tracker, is dramatic. There are only two trackers who are saved, the rest is garbage who thinks only of money, through donations or through banner ads. I would like to contribute to a predominantly Italian tracker ..

If you want to start a business the recommandation for choosing the right server is usually that it fits your 6 month plan, because otherwise it's too much of a hassle and I think the same applies here.

For a very small tracker you can get a server like that (Kimsufi 2G), but it will not be very stable with only a few users.
Most trackers that have a about 5000 users have servers in the price range of 200$+.

initially u can get on a cheap server, buy directly from ovh.uk, but at times more than the servers cost, the most expensive thing is to pay to coders, so to reduce this cost u can use pre coded templates, but u have to make some or other changes in the script, moreover as magister has told u, buying a server for a long time is much advisable as it reduces lot of hassle of changing servers and prevents loss of data and log.

If you have a good concept there will always be coders willing to help you for free and the main costs a tracker has is the server and domain costs, but this is way over his budget and it's a gamble if he will get it with donations.

i wouldnt even give the gamble 50% chance. usually people like to receive before they give, and with his inexperience, i can't say there will be much given.

I think the cheapest dedicated server you can get is a Kimsufi 2G with 5TB upload bandwidth from OVH for 22$, but prices can reach up to several thousands of $ per month for a single server from SoftLayer, for example.

The server most small (about 5000 users) private trackers use cost about 200-250$ and the bigger your site get's the more you have to invest in a new server.
