Default Why only What.CD for VIP?

    Hello,

Opening this thread for a serious discussion. Just asking and trying to understand...

I'm already a What.CD user for a long time and have a great invite tree. I love to invite people and to manage my dear invites, to help them, to notify them when there are some freeleechs... I'm always checking how is my tree going.
I looked for a website like "Torrent-Invites" on google because I wanted to give my invites. So you can imagine how disappointed I was to see that giving What.CD invites is not really possible here.

So, why giving What.CD invites is only allowed in the VIP forum?
Then, is there a lot of VIP people?
Also, how to be a VIP?

Is What.CD that untouchable? Is it taboo to deal with it? Actually, I was giving my What.CD invites on the TorrenTech tracker. But now they did quite the same as here. Normal users can't give them anymore and there is like an official user to do this job...

Give me some reasons... because you should probably have.

There is an official agreement between T-I and What. Can't tell you specific reasons behind this but there is obviously some benefits for both T-I and What.

Then, is there a lot of VIP people?
Members in golden color are VIP members.

Also, how to be a VIP?

VIP users are considered as trusted and good users of T-I. There is a lot of VIP users as you can see and you can always donate to gain this user class. As any tracker want's to know where the invites go and same goes for what.cd. They have many official ways to get an invite including What.CD: A Beginner's Guide and many unlimited giveaways on power user trackers forums. What.CD invites are not allowed to give here due the agreement with the what staff. Reason why they don't want to see the invites on public forums are site security, bad users (traders/sellers/cheaters). The chance you will invite a bad user on public forum in so much grater as inviting a real friend or sent invite to a VIP member of the site. Remember if you invite one bad user your whole invitee tree and your account will be banned. You won't get your account back as you gave invites to a strangers. Again if someone shows good proofs it still can be bad user you can never now and the risk of getting banned on your tracker is always there if you gave invites to people you don't know in person. Be very careful who invite especially on site like this. The what community is so strong that before this non give invite rule was made any user who gave invite out have been banned. It's better for all of us to respect the wishes of the staff and be in a good relations with them.

Ok great. Perfect answers. Thank you, I'm probably going to be VIP here. :)

Edit: not anymore, because 30€ is... quite a lot. I would have been ok for 5€.

There are different Tiers of VIP. For 30€, you get to be Tier 3, but for 5€, you get to be Tier 1.

Edit: My mistake, I guess you have to be Tier 3 and above to be able to see the special VIP forum where the What.CD invites are given out.

So seeing as I'm already meeting the qualifications for Tier 2, would I automatically be promoted if I were to buy Tier 1?
