Thread: How to improve TorrentLeech (TL) ratio?

I find it very hard to increase my upload ratio in TL, even using a seedbox, because:

- There are no freeleeches

- New members are not allowed to upload torrents

- New members cannot download new torrents. Only torrents that are more than 1-day old. By the time you go to download those, in order to then seed, there are a lot of seeders there already.

Any advice/ideas?



P.S. I seeded an old torrent on TL that I already had but even though I uploaded many gigs from my seedbox the stats on TL didn't update and it shows I have only uploaded 15-20 MB or something. Anyone had similar problems?

My two cents:
Cross seed to get you over the threshold so you can download new torrents (I forgot what that restricted period is called...) Once your there you could try setting autodl or rss to jump on new torrents. But you'll have to think about your parameters carefully: what will be popular and have lots of leechers in an hour, a day and further on? what size is the torrent? can my machine/box/line handle whatever I set the parameters for?

Personally I don't use autodl or rss ever. For TL I mainly cross seed and that's allowed me to build a sizeable buffer. Tl isn't one of my main trackers and this is one of the reasons. I find IPT (among other sites) equivalent in terms of content but their wriggle room is much more generous (namely freeleech packs which I find invaluable). Nothing against TL, just my preference.

I did actually and here is their reply, if you can tell me what it means because i didn't understand any of it. I told me that my stats aren't correct on the site, and that i have uploaded much more on my seedbox than what i got credit for and here's their reply.

"if you're sharing your vps with someone else, it's possible stats will not update properly. this is being worked on at the moment, but as of yet there's no fix.
also make sure you set up your torrent client properly. disable DHT PEX and LPD. "

Ya, I did. it was a few months after the fact but I had no issues and I never heard back from them afterwards..

view the top 10 most active torrents on torrent leech (I don't know whether that feature is their on TL or not, i don't use it since some time, if due to the user class limitation u cannot see that top 10 list as on many trackers, ask your friend to give u the SS of that top 10 list), download those torrents from other trackers and cross-seed, keep them for some time, and it may solve your problems,
but i think if u have a good connection at home, it would be much better if u download that torrents at home and then seed from home for few weeks or may be a month or two, it is much more flexible in many ways to seed from home, than seedbox and beneficial also in may ways. Just give it some time.

As far as i know their is no bonus or karma system also, which can help on TL

Last option donate to get some life line in form of upload.

Why would you say that??

This is what i do i will go to ipt as i have killer stats there grab tv then when finished downloading run to ipt and any other site u can get themn off and grab the same episode from each site and they check against data and then proceed to seed to all sites
