Thread: A bit lost posting invites

I'm new and have a ton of invites to give away but want to make sure I get it right. Read all the FAQ's but guess I'm missing what I'm looking for.

Is there a step 1-??? guide to tell me? What prefix should I give it? I'm only at 10% so is that all I can invite? I would want to set it a bit higher as the invites are to some top sites and there expiring on me (I don't have many torrenting friends) and it's a waste to see them go.

Hope this is in the right spot. Love the site and hope I can contribute a lot to it's members.

It should have the answers to everything you're looking for. If you have any more specific questions after reading that feel free to ask. You can invite anyone who applies for your invite, but you cannot post in the 33% and 55% forums yet.

jojoberg, that's awesome to hear that you want to help out the community like that. What specific questions do you still have? As a 10% member you can only post invites in that respective forum, but if a 55% member replies in that forum you can oblige them. Just because someone replies does not mean you HAVE to give them an invite. Make sure their proofs are where you would like them to be and BE PICKY! Make sure people are following the rules you set and the rules of the website. If they don't read those, how do you know they'll read the tracker rules?

You can post in the 10% forum, but you can also set the requirements are lot higher (a specific amount of posts and reputation points or a specific userclass). You should look at giveaways from other users to gain ideas.
If you want, and have the abaility to do so, you can also start with reply to requests. Just because you offer invites doesn't mean that you have to give it to everybody who replies. You can also leave your giveaway open for a few days and look who the best applicant is.

you can use the new genre based giveaway sections to make a giveaway for you specifications, by T-I progressing if you like. do so by choosing the proper tag which will add a [33%] prefix in front of that giveaway, for example. of course every member can see the content in it but with the tag being there, you can just sign off every midget wanting to "steal" your invite.

by the way, you can use the regular giveaway sub-forum too, the 10% Giveaway i mean. either come up with super needy requirements or even add the same [+33%] tag to it - doesn't matter. you have the invites, you do the picking. noone is asking you to give them to the first guy applying for them. i'm certain that you'll be suprised of how many decent members will step forward if the invite is good enough :P
