Thread: Clean up the useless things of local disk drive

Yes... I have this problem with too little space storage available on C: drive. Although the total size is 50 GB, I only have 4-5 GB left available anda I want to install a game which first gets through the TEMP folder of C: and those 4 GB become 1-2 MB...

So how can I resolve this beside cleanup wizard which does nothing almost...

One of the first things I do is turn of system restore (I never use it, and it eats a fare bit of space).

Another thing I like to do is move my swap file to a different drive - if you haven't done that already it might get you a few more GB.

i think these cleanup wizards don't save your space in GB's, these are useless i think.
so do your cleanup yourself. start with deleting old games that you wont play anymore, old films that you've wathched etc...
i always do it like this.

What kururunfa said it will help you more on increase system performance, not much on free space on drive but
what gonzo said makes more sense to free up space drive, i do that ocassionaly, and works for me!
Try using the two sugestions and you will have performance and space.
