I'd assume any reputable seedbox provider would have it set up soundly so you don't need to worry about ports etc.

Are you able to connect to the tracker at all? Maybe the problem is the tracker you're trying to use doesn't have a passkey system and instead relies on IP matching. Meaning to connect to the tracker/peers to have to connect with the same IP that you're logged into the web page in. So if you log in at home then try to download with your seedbox it won't work. Try these steps and see if it helps:

1) Go to What Is My IP Address - Shows Your IP Address to find out your IP address (alternatively it will probably be in your tracker user profile)

2) Go to your ruTorrent settings. Select "BitTorrent" from the list of options on the left. Then enter in your IP into the box labeled "IP/Hostname to report to tracker"



Also make sure to disable things like DHT and anything that's against your tracker's rules.
