Thread: Openvpn Help

Well, after making 2 failed attempts to setup openvpn, i was wondering in anyone had a detailed setup guide available, or could offer assistance with pptp vpn as that one i would assume might be easier. Have tried 2 guides for open vpn, both resulted with the server not starting after configuration, even after following the outline troubleshooting steps. Any help would be appreciated

It would help if you could tell us on what you want to install openvpn, since there are a lot of configurations for linux, IOS and windows.

What is it you're trying to use OpenVPN for?

Without knowing what you're trying to do, and what environment you're trying to do it in, it will be hard for people to give you useful advice.

Ah, so sorry, forgot that bit. Installing openvpn on a vps (3Gb ram/ 450gb hdd) running Ubuntu 10.04 LTS 64bit just for the purpose of anonymous browsing for now. Also as a learning experience, love learning new things and getting the vps opened up a new door. I've got webmin and the open vpn module installed already, but no luck configuring.
