for what.cd , i am afraid there isn't really a definitive answer, at least to my mind. there are artists that are popular, you can always track those. I remember for e.g. when phish are doing live concerts, those recordings get snatched real fast by a lot of people. Otherwise there is just he watch and observe, since there is too much music there and too much diversity in taste ....

keeping an eye out for releases of commercially or otherwise massively popular bands and there releases is also a great idea. Its somewhat limited, but if you can for example catch a coldplay or kanye west release in time, that one download will probably gove you a massive boost in upload, given that you are on a seedbox.

basically you need to get a hang of those things that will be popular once they do come, as there isnt really a regular release type thing (like a popular tv show, or comic pack etc) that you can track with surety in case of what.cd.
