Hi all,
during my time I've spend in the torrent business using my seedbox I've used both Deluge and rTorrent and I've noticed the following:
I. Deluge is way more aggressive (faster) when downloading.
II. rTorrent is king when it comes to seeding.
Now I'm sure this is no news to you guys, but what obviously came to my mind is: Is it possible at all to download a torrent with Deluge, and as soon as it finished downloading transmit the torrent to rTorrent to let it seed there?
To put it in different words: Is there a way to execute a script on Deluge as soon as a torrent finished downloading, that would make the torrent stop seeding and at the same time put the torrent file in the watchfolder for rTorrent?
Of cause I could do all that manually, but since I'm trying to push my ratio at what.cd with autodl-irssi it all comes down to speed. All the deluge boxes there are killing me when downloading, but as soon as everybody got the file I'm the one who gets to seed to all the newcomers. So I wanna combine that!
Get what I mean? :S
I'd appreciate any help on that :)
Edit: Got it, wrote a little script which moves completed torrents from Deluge's watchfolder to rTorrent's. Now the only thing I need to know is how to automatically stop up / downloading in Deluge after finishing a download... I'm gonna figure that out later :)
If anyone wants to have the script or a little tutorial tell me :)
