Thread: About Invites and a little help needed

I recently received 2 invited to different sites and am grateful for those for which I returned iGiver however after regestering one does not let me in at all even though registration was error free and if I try request the pw it says addresss does not exist(filelist) the other site (fyt) same but if I request pw reset it says addy awaiting confirmation mail or something similar ?? anybody know why or did I do something wrong.

Help bit now - I read the faq about giving rep point and all I saw was about clicking on a particular symbol but where do I find that symbol ??

I don't know about you errors, maybe check your mailbox for spam or something to see if a confirmation request is there...
But about giving reputation, I just discovered this myself, there is a small star looking button in bottom left area of the forum post, if you click on that a small window comes up where you can give 1 rep, with adding a comment to it (which is mandatory if I remember correctly).
The small button is just above the '+ Reply to Thread' button.

Thanks for the infor on the Rep points I will try that. On the spam etc have checked all that but nothing there - I did have a situation on another site where the person who invited me had to confirm it by mail after I registered and when I contacted them it was sorted. I did the same for the invitee on these sites but got no response which is unfair as i gave the the iGiver which in hindsite might have been a bad thing to do until the registration is successful otherwise they are getting credit which is not deserver

an iGiver should be left after a successful use of it, NOT BEFORE. it's even in the rules so...don't jump the gun!!!

about the e-mails. it's not recommended to use microsoft services like hotmail, live and other crappy e-mail providers. it's like putting an envelope into a mailbox that doesn't have a bottom. and whatever still sticks there, has probably gotten stuck to a corner or smth . now, if the invites indeed has been sent your way and you haven't seen daylight with them, then you can always go to that trackers IRC channel and request for a re-send or activation (i've done it once or twice )


about the rep. Torrent-Invites FAQ - scroll down a little to the spot where it explains how and when you should give it. also, we have a "Like" button which does exactly what it sound like - it shows your appreciation for a post - but actually not helping out the member in any other way (ie. "like" button doesn't improve your stats).

Now, about you're inability to login to a tracker you signed up with, you'll definitely want to do what IMAGINE said, pop into their IRC and have a chat with FLS. Seconding what he said, try to avoid services like hotmail/yahoo/live etc... Gmail is usually a pretty safe bet, and imo it's the best e-mail service out there so it's a win-win ;)
