So which bittorrent client do you guys think is best and why? And state on which platform. I like utorrent for Mac and Windows, and qbittorrent for Linux. The only issue I have with the mac utorrent is that on the GUI it has no queue button to move up or down, so you must you the ctrl+ arrow button. But qbittorrent for Linux runs so smoothly, it is like utorrent for linux, seeing as utorrent is still in a server only and beta platform currently.

I used almost every client and i think utorrent (especially 1.8.5) is the best for windows (or it is enough for me) .

wow 1.8.5? Really? That is so old, I think that was the version I last used when I finally completely ditched windows. Bear with me I haven't had any windows computer since XP, all are Mac and Linux, and in a few months will build the ultimate gaming computer that will dual boot windows 7 and Ubuntu in both 64 bit versions.

Use deluge on my seedbox for it's speed, and utorrent at home due to how easy it is to manage hordes of torrents.

And what's your point? Many users are still using that version and are more than satisfied. Personally I'm on 2.0.4 with wine. I really liked kTorrent and especially liked how you could kick or ban peers in the GUI. With uTorrent you have to manually add IP's/ports into ipilter.dat which takes forever with huge swarms. I had to ditch kTorrent because I'd rather get packages from official repositories vs compile from source. In the beginning the client was whitelisted at most trackers until I got this one tracker that would only take the latest version. So I ended up switching to uTorrent and I've found out that this client is accepted at about every tracker.

I'm really happy with Deluge for my seedbox. I'm not sure if I would use it as my home client ever however. I would probably go with uTorrent 2.2 or something close to that. This new version sucks an incredible amount of proprietary, bloated ass.

I use a combination of clients. Due to the number of torrent I seed, and the amount of torrents I upload, I like to be-able to easily throttle an entire client so I can get good speeds on my uploaded torrents.

Anyways, I use deluge for large torrents, season packs of shows, HD movies, large music collections..ect. A torrent must be 1GB at least to make it on deluge.

I use uTorrent for small torrents and my uploads. Music albums, small tv episodes, ect.

I use utorrent because it is light weight and seems less bogged down by various crap that doesnt really need to be there in my opinion, plus it seems to be the easiest to use from the clients that I have tried.

On Windows I use utorrent (1.8.5) and I ahve for years now. I've tried other clients but found that utorrent was good enough for me. On Ubuntu (when I have it installed) I use libtorrent (rtorrent) due to it's similarity to utorrent. I have not used any other client for a linux system though so I can't really compare or comment on any of them.
