You should consider making an "introduction" here to become a full member of this site. We have a great community here, lots of knowledgeable people.. and some interesting forums that you can't access unless you introduce yourself.

As to your question.. it depends on the torrent. If it is from a private tracker, request a reseed or perhaps look on other similar trackers. A lot of people will reseed, if you ask nicely. For a starting point though, open the torrent in your bittorrent client and right click --> properties.. and you should see something like the information below. The tracker name in the 'announce url' should tell you if you are staring your search at the right tracker or not.

If you have a torrent from a public tracker, then you can use the reannounce feature or check the post here that talks about searching for just such torrents.
