Usually not a great idea. Why would you want to? Use the keygen and be done with it.

Did it come with a keygen or serials or a crack file? And is there an option to register by phone? If there is, shut your net off, select register by phone and then use the keygen info in the box.

Generally speaking, no. It's fraught with risks and likely to cause you grief. If you downloaded it, consider the features set to be static. If you need updates.. then look for a newer version online. There is software that can be registered, but such is very much in the minority.
