    Default Torrents on College Campus

Hello, when I got to my college campus I couldn't download any torrents. I'm currently using uTorrent so I switched my encryption to forced. It now seems I can download waffles.fm but trackers like iptorrents and kickasstorrents will not start.

    Can anyone help?

I'm pretty sure your college is throtteling or in your case blocking bittorrent traffic as much as they can.
Most people in colleges download copyright pretected material illegal, hence they get a lot of letter and as the result they try to throttel/block all the bittorrent traffic. I would never use the internet connection at your campus directly for torrenting as you can get into serious trouble. It may be very tempting because you probably have nice speeds, but everybody knows that college students like to use piracy.

It may be possible that your college is blocking the server IPs of IPT and especially of all the well known public trackers. Are you at a big college? IPT is very well known so this can be very likely. Do you get the error message 'can't connect to tracker' or something like that?

I don't think anybody can help you besides recommending a seedbox and a VPN.

If you need help feel free to PM me, but keep in mind that asking for an invite is not considered help.

Thanks for your response Magister. I am not at a big college, there are only 3000~ people total.

I don't get any error messages; the Seed/Peers for the respective 'blocked' torrents have 0(0), 0% downloading, and red downward errors on the left side.

I just find it strange I am able to download from waffles; I thought colleges blocked all .tor files? Or am I mistaken.

    Thanks
