Does anyone know of a feasible way to add a script to the latest dd-wrt'd linksys WRT54GL wifi router, to block the ads at the door. I love dd-wrt, sooo much function.

This belongs in Help not General Discussion. Moving it.
Well, first of all I have no experience on this matter so I don't know whether I can really be of any help, but simply by searching on Google I found following links, which might be interesting:

Do you know what it means to put the script into its startup? I can see the shell window and enter commands, but there has to be a way to automate it, right where it says![]()

oh, I misunderstood your question, is this what you are looking after? shell script method
Yea, got it now, rebooted the router. slick. I love dd-wrt, more people should try it out. So many options and things to adjust.
Glad you got it up and running. I used to use DD-WRT and it's good. But I eventually migrated to Tomato and find it so much more flexible in so many ways. Perhaps something to look into at some point.
Googling ad blocking, DD-WRT will find you many approaches to this. Most of them amount to block list scripts at the router level. Analogous to the windows hosts file, if that paints a picture for you. Typically you just drop them into the Firewall scripting window. But you can do it from the command line, if you prefer. If you know how to use IPTables, your options are endless.
For tomato, I use this approach.
Fortune and love favour the brave .-. Ovid ....
The only silliness is now I have to uninstall my anti banner / spam software/extensions. I suppose no matter what, though with either the Tomato or the DD-WRT, the scripting is the same. How else are you going to program the rules? You would need a flashing station and more equipment. Its easier to make programmable, deep sensing anti-ware on the chips.
