Default General Question about 0day trackers and private trackers

    1) is a 0day tracker a private tracker?
    2) These so called private trackers such as hdbits.org and theplace.bz means that these trackers are strictly shared within the community and not publically? I cannot risk another threatening letter from my cable company about production companies flagging my ip and wanting to press charges!

AND sorry to the moderators.. I posted a similar question in the wrong forum in an irrelevant topic but forgot which. My sincere apologies.

Yeah most 0-day trackers are private.
And yes to question two also. Granted I'm sure there ARE entertainment industry rats inside all the private trackers, but they don't bother as much. It's easier to go after the masses than one little fish.

No, they are not the same. Only a private tracker is private. There are plenty of public 0day trackers out there as well. 0day just means 'scene' and as such a 0day tracker is one that has scene releases available to download whether that be public or private.

Personally, I have never heard of a DMCA letter received as a direct result of downloading from a private tracker except for TorrentLeech. So stick with private, and if you're really paranoid you can use a seedbox or a VPN tunnel.

There are public 0-day trackers but all the top ones are private.
