That makes idle bot utterly pointless imo, but I've never been into the whole idle bot thing anyhow. In other news, there is an ACTIVE bot in the main channel, lol.

You don't require a bot for just idling.
A normal IRC client would Suffice
My Advice set up an irssi, it's pretty low memory and works pretty well.
Although a stable internet connection is required, if you disconnect you can program scripts to rejojn
