    Default Very slow upload

Got me a new trackeraccount today. I did download the torrent with the most leechers tog get a god ratio fast, i thought.
Downloading was fine, about 4mb/s, but now my uppload speed is only 10-50kb/s...

Why? is there some port I need to open to fix it?

does the new tracker you joined happen to be Bitme-tv?

if other torrents don't behave like that, then it's probably down to part seeders. part seeders may have the main file but without downloading the addons (samples, nfo, subtitles and stuff like that), then they're always going to be leechers - not downloading and not finished...

you need to read the trackers FAQs for the basic and most common faults. disable DHT and peer exchange, peer discovery. also, forwarding ports will allow more traffic to be transmitted from your computer (easiest > enable uPnP in you router settings)

Upload is always the problem. Everyone seed on private trackers this is why you can get such a nice download speed and no one is downloading as they want to have big ratios and huge buffer so they can download stuff they like. As IMAGINE stated partial leechers are also the problem so don't download stuff old a few years download new torrents with leechers also freeleech torrents if the tracker have it. If tracker have bonus system use it. If the tracker alow you to upload than upload stuff also try to cross seed torrents (download some torrents from other site and seed on this site). We need to have more info about what site you are talking about. Than we can give you accurate tips as every tracker have special features that help you keep the ratio...

I don't want to offend you but you probably stepped in the most common newbie trap: partial seeders. I totally have to agree with my former posters.
If you still have a changes to correct your ratio you should jump on rather small torrents very fast (torrents which you expect to get many leechers). Everything after 3hours is old. If a torrent is old it's never popular, because partial seeders = leechers.
You should never look at the list of the most leeched torrents when you try to get a buffer. For more information needs community the name of the tracker.
This was a really fast guide for good torrenting.

Yes, there can always be an issue with port forwarding. Are you marked as connectable on the tracker (if the tracker displays it)? Is the correct amount of leechers/seeders displayed in your torrent client?
Other suggestions have already been made by my former posters.

P.S: I love downloading season packs, therefore BTN all the way! (Ratioless TV tracker)

If you need help feel free to PM me, but keep in mind that asking for an invite is not considered help.

Partial seeders will definitely kill you. You have to jump on new torrents immediately and hope you are faster than the others. Ratioless is the way to go. Wish more trackers would measure your intent of seeding rather than actually what you can upload. I remember SCT was a toughie for the longest time, but now its gone.

I've been in the buisness a couple of years so consider my self to have some knowledge about how to handle an account. Unfortnetly I'am not as familiar with the technical and that's why I started this thred, because I've had some problems with closed ports before.

Have manage to do some portforwarding now so will jump into some new torrent soon and see whats happening.

Works fine now, stable upload about 1mb and top 4mb. Problem solved

Are there clients that will show you the partial seeders vs the full seeders?

I doubt it. If a peer only selects parts of a multi-file torrent and completes it then he's a seeder as far as the client's concerned. Unfortunately the tracker sees this differently thus the term part/partial seeder. This is something only a trained eye can detect but here's some hints.

If the torrent is new then the reported leechers are probably genuine leechers.
If the torrent is old then they're probably part seeders.
    Part seeders like packs
Part seeders like files over 50 GB (except for music since music files are smaller)
Pay attention to how many leechers are reported. The higher the number the more wary you should be.

If you're not in a rush to download a file, and the tracker allows you to view the peer list (usually from the torrent page), open it up in a seperate tab and make a mental note or take a screenshot of some random peers that don't have 100% of the file. Note how much they've downloaded. Refresh the page after 5 - 10 minutes and if those peers' download haven't changed then they're probably part seeders. Just remember, all trackers aren't created equal and some update stats much slower than others.
