    Default Help with Deluge/seedbox

Earlier, I asked my SB provider for help with my seedbox because my Deluge WebUI was just loading a blank white page. So he reinstalled Deluge to fix the config. Well now WebUI is working but when I input the server, port, username and password into my client on my home computer, the Green light doesn't show up, instead it shows as red. The instructions on the FAQ on the seedbox's site say to open WebUI and enable "allow remote connections". Well I did that and then SSH'd into the server and typed "killall deluged deluge-web" I waited for Deluge to restart, went back into the WebUI and it automatically unchecked "allow remote connections" again. AND it enabled upnp, dht, peer exchange and all that other stuff that I unchecked. So I went into SFTP and moved the auth and conf files to my desktop to manually check them. In the conf file, upnp, peer exchange, etc are set to "false" and "allow remote connections" is set to "true". So why are they the way I want them in the conf file, but not the WebUI? And why is resetting my settings so that I cannot connect using a client? The WebUI is also only allowing me to seed 5 torrents at a time causing me to H&R at BTN and SCC. I have no hair to tear out, so can someone please help me with this because I'm a noob?

ok you must be doing something wrong on the deluge application on your home computer.
    try putting settings like this

    enable allow remote connection
    from - webgui --- preference -- deamon

now on client in home pc.

first - disable classic mode (frm prefence --- interface)
second - click on connection manager (its on top near preference)
third - click connection manager and the click add
fourth - start add the details ( note - when adding for host name , dont add "http://" and port number "9092")
    fifth - click connect

And for downloading many torrents at the same time

    preference --- queue --- total active (-1)
    total active downloading (-1)
    total active seeding (-1)

    note - (-1) -----> it means unlimited

Okay I tried that. But as I said earlier, On the seedbox website's FAQ it says I need to kill deluge using SSH and then wait for it to restart. When it restarts, "allow remote connection" is unchecked again.

    See?

Hmm, i think you made a mistake. After "killall deluged", you need to start the deamon again by typing "deluged" in SSH and then type "deluge-web". "deluge-web" will only start the webUI, not the deamon thus making it impossible to connect.

Okay I just did that and then reopened deluge webui again and it once again enabled upnp, dht and peer exchange and disabled "allow remote connections". I'm at a total loss here.

Also this popped up in the Putty window.

Just to clarify, upnp, dht and peer exchange have nothing to do with your problem. Ask your SB provider to reinstall deluge for you.

I know they have nothing to do with it, I just always turn them off. Irked me that they kept re-enabling themselves. In any case, I reinstalled Deluge as a last resort and redid my config. Closing this now, thanks to those that helped.
