Thread: Auto DL irssi

I need some guidance to setup auto-dl irssi for two trackers.

For iptorrents, I need to get all freeleech torrents.



For bitgamer, I need to get all 2011 releases.

How do I set the filters? Any guide would be helpful.

Actually I second this request, I set up auto dl irssi in my seedbox quite a while ago but have yet to learn how to use it.

I can't say anything about Canadian's tutorial, but the sources where he took it from definitely work, I used them.
They also have a new script which makes setting it up even easier (extremely easy, I have used both methods by myself)

Actually, I am not having the problem with the installation of the plugin, the problem is with the filters. Whenever I setup 2011 games on BG, it doesn't work.

Plugin is already installed. Perhaps someone might be willing to do it manually for me.

At least you can set it up, I've spent hours tearing my hair out because I can't get past "mkdir -p ~/.autodl
touch ~/.autodl/autodl.cfg "

Are you sure you have setup up the option Trackers correctly (passkey and/or cookies?)? Otherwise you can't actually grab the torrents.
Do you get an error message from irssi after you start the WebGUI?

The only way to download freeleech torrents is to manually add them in your box. Autodl-irssi monitors the announce channels and adds the torrents. However, when the torrents are announced, they don't have the freeleech tag. This is something that is being done later from the IPT mods after the initial uploader has requested freeleech. Long story short, there is no way for autodl-irssi to recognize if a torrent is freeleech or not.

EDIT: The filters refer to the name of the torrent. If the torrents don't have "2011" in their name, you can't use the filter. For example, if the name of the torrent is something like "GameName.PSP-RLSGROUP" the filter won't work. It has to be like "GameName.2011.PSP-RLSGROUP".

I assumed that Games have the year in their name, because I was only referring to the Games.

Yes, you are right you can't set irssi auto-downloader to grab all the freeleeches, because they aren't freeleeches in the moment they are announced.

But IPT has a new rule that every uploader can request freeleech for a torrent if it is over 8GB. (I checked this with an uploader, because I read it somewhere, but couldn't find it again, that's the reason for the late response) It used to be 3/4 freeleeches per uploader and week.
You can basically put min. size 8GB and only include the uploaders you trust. I am not sure, if all uploaders will request freeleech for all of their bigger files. Most uploaders (nearly all or all) will only seed after freeleech has been granted.

If you set to only download torrents over 8GB from the uploaders you trust (you can add more with the time) you should be safe and can basically get all the freeleeches there.
