Thread: Which tracker to put on top of a tracker list

I've created a tracker list of over 1500 trackers, but now I wonder which tracker I should put on top the best. From experience I know that the tracker on top can cause the torrent site to not be able to read the correct values of seeds/leechers.
I'm uploading on TPB, I'm currently using http://tracker.openbittorrent.com/announce on top, but perhaps I would be getting better results if I did put another tracker on top?

We try to avoid discussions regarding which tracker tops which other. Comparisons between two trackers is difficult enough, but when you attempt to do so with thousands of trackers you will likely end up with ridiculous results. There are numerous factors to take into account. Many trackers will have their niche which cannot be grouped in with another. All in all, I don't think any sort of list will favor the community; lists are associated with levels which ultimately attracts traders and scammers.

I never said anything about comparing all the trackers with eachother in the list, so you missed the point. I'm asking what would be best to put on top, a TPB tracker, a Bittorrent, or another very popular used one?

Is the point that you are going to add all these trackers in the tracker announce url list on a torrent in your client?
In that case I would like to warn you, your chances to get caught increase 1500 times that way.
I myself would never upload a torrent on public trackers, going private is what I would recommend you to do as well.

Hahaha well hell, I did completely miss the point. Sorry about that. Anyhow, it shouldn't matter which announce you have on top. Whatever is listed in your announce URL window will be included in the swarm.

But do realize that having too many in the list could potentially bog down connections to available peers. Maybe that's why you're having issues.

I'm not really having issues, got around 50 leechers at the moment but I'm striving for maximum rates:p

Oh if that's the case, changing anything in the announce window will not help you. Probably a better bet to mess around with your BT client's options. Maximize your upload speed, increasing your global connections, or getting on a faster ISP (hah). Since you're specifically seeding to public trackers, you might want to enable DHT and peer discovery if they aren't already.
