Thread: Banned from TD, seeking advice on why it happened?

I was a member of Torrent Damage, having about 1.3 terrabyte seed and leech.

Suddenly out of the blue, when I tried to log on, my account was disabled. I tried to ask on IRC (TD-Support) why I was disabled / banned, but the day after my IP was banned from the IRC site as well.

I've been trying to figure out why this happened, as it baffles me so much, an curiosity has taken hold of me. Damn I miss that site already.. It's awesome.. :(



The only thing I can think of is that lately, some HD movies that were up to 8 GB contained a few corrupt .rar archives, and I had to delete one or two archives and download them again. Could this trigger something on TD that got me banned ? I swear, I have *not* been doing anything fishy other then downloading and seeding. My internet connection is 25Mbit / 25Mbit, fibre.

I am not here to whine about being banned or anything, I just wondered if anyone have any idea on how and why, so that I can take precautions, so this does not happen again on other torrent sites!

Hum, I know nothing about that tracker, but I know in Torrentleech, if youwant to download the same torrent more than one time, you have to warn their staff first and wait for their aproval. Maybe that tracker has the same rule? No idea...

Anyway, if they also banned you from IRC I'd tell not to hope to get your account back...

How did this happen ?
What client do u use ?
The torrent client should check the pieces its has taken, and redownload em if find smthink is broken.
I ve only found some corrupted rars when i download em from my ssedbox via ftp.
To solve that I load the torrent conteined em at utorrent, it hash ckeck em and then download the missing pieces, but not whole torrent or rar.
