Thread: Name change help!

Hello,

I got a private message telling me I need to change my Username. But I don't have access to the option anymore. Who can I ask to get a change of name?

When I follow your link I get:

Amlethae, you do not have permission to access this page. This is due to one of the following reasons:

1. "Starting" members must create an introduction using this form before requesting an invite. You willnot be able to reply to an Area 51 thread until your intro is accepted and you are promoted to 10%.
2. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?

Which doesn't allow me to change my name. Sorry I'm just starting here and didn't realize this rule and would love a chance to make it right.

Oh yeah, forgot about that.
I have already reported this to senior staff, so hopefully it will be fixed soon. It is just a bug.

In the meantime, I would advise you click on the "IRC" tab at the top of the site and come down to the help channel to wait for a moderator who is able to help you.

Thank you Pulser! I went to the IRC channel but they told me to just hang tight until senior staff did something to fix it.

I gotta say this site is a bit frustrating with all of the (justified & understandable!) hoops to jump through, but it calms my nerves to get some help on these matters. Thanks again!

Amlethae - send me 3 alternative names, make sure they are COMPLETELY different, no longer than 10 characters long and no shorter than 3. Please list them in order of preference and I will get this sorted for you.
