Thread: GFT vs. SCC ??? Help!

I am looking for some help concerning GFT and SCC. Basically I am looking for a site with the good pre-times, however I am not wanting to know which of these have faster pre-times. Either will work for my purposes. Rather, I would like to know which would be best suited for me.

- I do not use a seedbox, which would give advantage to GFT it seems, however it sounds like SCC has FL packs that would make maintaining a ratio a lesser issue.

- I read here that GFT requires 48 hours seeding to avoid HnRs, so this is an issue if they require a continuous 48 hours? Since I use a laptop this is not always possible for me.

- It seems like SCC is a lot harder to get invited to... In my case, I can get on GFT if I want, but I would probably have to do some work to get SCC.


Soooo in sum, what do you all think? Is there an advantage for me one way or the other? Any experience or advice is welcome.

it really depends on what you are looking for really but I would take SCC over Gft any day do not get me wrong they are both good trackers but SCC has the advantage, also believe it or not the pretimes are better in SCC

Like SB said If I were you I would choose SCC, Why? Thre are more seeders/leechers on SCC , and if your into downloading those FL packs, SCC got more of those way more than GFT, and on SCC seeding requirements is only 36 hours and It doesnt have to be continuous as long you do it within a week after grabbing the torrents according to their rules, take your time and make friends here, members here always have invites on those trackers at ready

SCC. Pretimes are faster and extremely easy to keep a ratio.

SCC is not easy to keep a ratio without long term seeding of the free packs. If you're just downloading 0 day stuff then unless you have a seedbox or a fast connection you'd be banned in no time for low ratio. If you're prepared to put in a decent amount of effort and seed the freeleech packs for a while then you can get a decent buffer.

Personally without a 'box I'd recommend GFT, ratio free and no hassles. You don't have to seed 48hrs continuously, just a total of 48 hrs.
I have both sites, I have a dediserver. I prefer SCC, the packs are awesome and something that is missing from GFT but with an average upload speed I'd take GFT over SCC.

SCC is easy to seed. I can download 3GB from a 500GB torrent and end up uploading 70-100GB back and I'm on a home connection, no seedbox. If you jump on the freeleech packs early you can build up a huge ratio. I just uploaded 30GB tonight from only 4GB that I downloaded. SCC is easier to build up a better ratio then TL or REVTT for me.

If you uploaded 30GB in one night then your home connection must be pretty decent.......

On my home connection I can upload 6-7GB per day if it's maxed out 24hrs solid.

The OP can't seed 24/7. Also everyone says it's easy to seed, it's not, it's easy to build a buffer by grabbing new freeleech packs as soon as they're uploaded if you can put the time in, but many people can't do that as they have limits on their download which they'd waste grabbing stuff they don't want.

RevTT is just too hard for anyone without a 'box these days. So many users have them it's pointless if you don't.

Their pre-times are basically the same and they both track scene releases. GFT wins some and SCC wins others. Big deal.... You got this right, either will work as far as time after pre is concerned.

Yes, SCC has tons of freeleech archives you can use to buffer your ratio. It's really easy to do so in essence they're both ratio free, just meet the seed time requirements. SCC is 36 hours but you get a week. GFT is 48 hours and also about a week but the new system considers leech time as share time. I can't confirm this but it says so in the forum.

I think GFT is harder to get than SCC. Only because I know where to look for SCC. But both are easy enough to obtain with some effort. I was disabled at SCC once and got back in within a week. If I lost GFT I think it would take longer to find another invite. Good luck to you. I'd get them both! But that's just me.

*edit* I recommend SCC over GFT though. SCC with my residential line is 'blazing fast' unlike any other tracker I get files from. GFT is fast too, but only 'average fast'

Scc is the best i think !
they have great packs,pretimes also friendly staff !!
i have never been member on GFT because i don't like that tracker and Scc is the best for me !
