Thread: autodl-irssi with debian

Hallo

i would like to install autodl-irssi on Debian , is it necessary to iinstall X Window System, rutorrent and a webserver to get autodl-irssi work ?

or is possible to use it with rtorrent

Yes it is possible to use it without all that, all you need is the IRC client irssi and ofcourse some dependencies too. You can check here for details:

But I use it with the rutorrent plugin because it becomes much easier to configure and modify with a GUI interface so I would recommend that you install the WebUI and the autodl irssi plugin.

Yes you need a webserver like Apache or lighttpd to run rutorrent.

But yeah you can still use autodl irssi without it and configure it within autodl.cfg
