Default Get everything out of a gigabit?

    Hello.

I have a gigabit seedbox from seedmybox.com, and its on a VPS.

And i have seen pictures of people uploading at 80 MB/s++, but my seedbox just wont do that.

The max i have had up is 40-50, and down i easely can get 80 MB/s++ if i start many torrents. Rigth now im downloading and uploading breaking bad season 1-3, and im on 6.7 MB/s up, and 9.7 MB/s down. And i have seen people have like 40 MB/s down, and 70 MB/s up.

So im wondering, how i should tune my settings in rutorrent to get max speed? Can also configure directly to .rtorrent.rc because i have full root accsess.

Im also very fast to start downloading torrent, when it takes about 0.5 sec after the torrent has been posted on IRC....

    Any tips?

if you want to max your speed out, you have to focus on one hot torrent
because the limited hdd and ram will kill your speed
for torrent, you need a really hot torrent
SCC's pack will be a good choice
besides this, use autodl-irssi and deluge

Im using auto-dl, and these breaking bad torrents i got 0.5 sec after they came out on the tracker.

But i have 94 torrents on my seedbox rigth now, do you think this is taking to much ram? Not everyone seeding, and they who is seeding is on 1 MB/s and down..

ForestAngel's advice is good. You should view the (speed) numbers as theoretical. Something for comparison purposes only. In real life you are unlikely to attain "full speed" unless you optimize everything and concentrate on a single, hot torrent as FA suggested.

There are many variables as to why one torrent or tracker will be fast or slow e.g. swarm size, speed + a dozen other things. You can play with it if you find it fun or challenging to do so. But most people will not attain the full "rated" speed most of the time.

that depends on your HDD and Ram
in my opinion, more for HDD performance
if your HDD is SSD or SAS, it will be better
but for normal SATA 2, many torrents running at one time will be a problem
i usually do it in this way, when i found that one big pack, lets say SCC's pack has been added to my rt by autodl-irssi
i will closed nearly all my running torrents (especially for leeching ones)
and the speed will jump from 2-10MB/s to 20-40MB/s
when the big pack's speed drops down, i restart the other torrents

i want to add something, if you are using rt, i do not think configuration can do much things to your speed
but for deluge, allocate more and proper ram and connection will surely give you better speed
