Default What is the proper way to seed on private trackers?

Should I be force starting all of my completed torrents or should I have queued seeds?

I dont really understand how queued seeds works because what if I have 1,000 completed torrents that I'd like to seed and Utorrent recomends me to have 13 maximum uploads/downloads at a time, doesn't this essentially mean that the other 9,987 torrents I have will not be connected and I will not be able to seed from them?

I dont understand how it decides the priority and what the best way to do it if I want to be a good seeder (and seed for long periods of time) and maintain good ratios

I am a member of several trackers, so what is my best bet to stay active with all of them with a large base of completed torrents ready to seed?

If your hardware allows that, then just ignore uTorrent's recommendations and set max active torrents to 0 (=infinity) (as well as max connections, etc). That way you'll have all torrents seeding. I don't see any reason for limiting the number of active torrents other then a very weak PC.

    Yes I agree.

Mine is also set to 0
Most active torrents wont have any leechers anyway if they are old, but having them active gives you Bonus Points (if the tracker has them)
which is my reason for seeding from home + seedbox

The default utorrent settings are very conservative and best suited for someone with an old-ish PC or dial up internet.

Most people with a newer computer and broadband will not need to queue seeds and as several have already pointed out, try setting max active torrents to a very high figure or unlimited. If your client doesn't freeze, stutter, lockup or generate errors when you cold start utorrent, then you shouldn't have to worry about queuing or force starting torrents.

Take the advice from above. The bandwidth configuration under the uTorrent setup guide only applies to active torrents (torrents connected to peers).

Also, just because you're seeding doesn't necessarily mean you're being active and in some cases neither is logging in

Ya you can keep the max torrents to infinity but to keep your browsing speed optimal you need to do some changes
    1-utorrent-preferences-advanced setting-net.max_halfopen -set value to 10
2- keep max connections per torrent to around 10-15
3- if you are seeding basicaly for seedbonus stop the torrents that are seeding at 0.1 to 1 kbps and have many peers connected.
torrents like this hamper browsing speed to great extent

Hardware is not a main concern, anything above p4 will do just fine.most important is your connection/your available bandwidth (up/down).if you only having 2mbps upload, theres no point for you to force start all 9000++ of torrent to seed.the connnection itself cant even handle that kind of income/outcoming connections,in the end it might just stuck.the best way to seed is either upgrade your bandwidth or subscribe for seedbox.
