Thread: IRC idle bot

I'm looking for a bot to idle IRC for me. Simple as that. Anyone know of a working one?

A bot? Maybe look into a bouncers, they are far more affective in my opinion.

- ZNC
- BNC
- IRCcloud (an interesting new type of web-based bouncer. Invite only though.)

Or perhaps you could look into some scripts for your client that would do that for you? mIRC being the preferred client of course, but xchat also has some.

I do not know of a bot that just idles. I think you will find a bouncer will do a better job .

ok thats good ...but any of these have this facility that when complete my sign up there they will let me use my account for bouncer or i have to wait for invite..or something like that..................

Get one cheap VPS and install eggdrop on it, it will help u and u can use that VPS as seedbox also

there are some people who offer free bnc services, shell accounts. for a start freeunixshell.org. either you can use a bnc service or use a shell account and install znc or eggdrop.

for the IRCCloud invite u can go here IRCCloud Invites and he can help you out. Its like pulser said bouncers are far more affective.

My general rule of thumb is to never use anything coming from the former Soviet Union. Especially when it's hosted on an American domain.
