    Default email with new pass didn't came.

    i gorgot my password..so i received an email with a URL to press on and it said there (URL) that a new password has been sent to me, but nothing came

    check your spam folder or be patient it will come soon, if and only if you are not disable for inactive or any other reason :)

    not in spam and it has been a few hours now...
    how is the inactive thing work? becouse i havn't logged a couple month's now. am i banned? sholdn't threr be a warning or somthing?

    Your first post said that you had simply forgotten your password. And Salam's reply was right on the money. Your last post was more revealing though. Now you are saying that you haven't logged in for months, so you may well be banned for inactivity. And frankly I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop as well.

    A few hours isn't very long to wait.. email isn't always instant or even immediately sent. It does show that you are impatient. That you hadn't logged in for months was an essential piece of information that you didn't include in your original post. Nor did you tell us what tracker we are talking about so no one will really know if inactivity is really the issue here or not. Some trackers might send a warning that your account is about to lapse. But most wouldn't. It's up to you to read the rules and use your account. Or park the account if you are otherwise busy. In short, people value private tracker accounts. If you don't use/value yours, then it expires after a period of inactivity and ultimately frees up a spot for someone who would make use of that spot.

    If the email doesn't come after a reasonable period of time, you might presume that your account has a summary (inactivity) ban and inquire politely about your account with tracker staff on iRC.

    anyway thank u 4 the comment..umm sry 4 the lack of details.
    the site is torrentleech, so how much time untill i get banned?..and if i had been,why did they "send" me a new password and not tell me i am banned? or that my email is not in there database or somthing in that nature? i mean why mess with me like that?

    hi libak, just a thought but have you tried to login with your old password and details?
    in the help section at TL it states accounts will be deleted automatically after 90 days of inactivity!
    if this is the case for you?

    T=I is a great community who are genuine in helping each other ! so I think copper is trying to say
    that if you don't post all relevant information and be honest then it is very difficult to help each other
    and I do agree that honesty is the best policy here at T-I.

    Hi liback, I'm sorry if you found my previous post abrasive. Graphic was right, I was just trying to say that you need to provide all of the relevant details if you expect people to help you. It seemed like you were doling information out piecemeal, which doesn't serve anyone's interests. And I was wondering if more twists were going to surface.

    T-I is a great community and most here are more than willing to help if you can meet us half way. Can you tell us if your account was inactive for more than 90 days? If not and you weren't doing anything unusual like using a blacklisted client, then it's you're back to what should be a straightforward password recovery.

    Try your old login again as graphic suggested. Also what is your email domain? Some domains e.g. hotmail are notorious for flagging mail as spam or being blocked. Gmail (or many other alternates) are usually more reliable choices. The password recovery process is probably scripted (automated), so it's possible that you would get a 'password will be sent' message, then not have it happen if the script subsequently found that your account was banned. That doesn't mean that TL is out to get you, it would just mean a glitch in the system. But with any luck it's not an issue anyway.

    Post any additional information (if there is any). Try the old login, check again (including your spam folder) to see if you have received a new password. Perhaps try the password recovery once more if you still don't have the password after 24 - 48 hours. And if you still don't see any joy, contact the tracker staff on iRC and ask for help.
