Thread: Cant get connected to some trackers.

Utorrent says im half open but still get the green check mark i'v set my ports in my firewall i have no router set utorrent to trusted application ( in & out ) port in utorrent set to correct one ( cennect to all computers not just pc's in network ) turnded off my firewall and AV just to check nothing. So i tired Ubuntu instead full clean install 11.4 hours of tinkering and nothing. So i also messed with all the settings in my isp account settings nothing, but so everything leads me to believe its my isp any help would be appreciated. I'm going to switch isp soon if i cant resolve this im in Canada thks and regard's

FYI i can download just fine, just other users cant initiate downloads off of me so i have a hard time seeding and I've tired to many things to mention here lmao thks again.

Have you done a speed test? If so post it here.
Are these private and/or public trackers you are having issues on?
Has this always been the case or changed recently? Recent so has anything changed recently?

They are all private trackers, i dont think its changed recently. But i had a seed box in eroupe and it would let people connect to me . http://www.speedtest.net/result/1367028427.png thanks

This is the classic description of being 'unconnectible'. That means that utorrent hasn't been able to establish two way communication. So you can still download, but others have trouble connecting to you.. which also means that you can't seed properly. More than likely this means that utorrent or your firewall are misconfigured. But sometimes it can be a tracker side problem.

We didn't get around to installing the spy cameras at your place yet + we can't read minds.. so for anyone to have a reasonable shot at helping you, you need to provide a lot more information. Speed test, utorrent settings e.g. utorrent version, port, encryption, bandwidth, upload slots, etc. Stick to one OS for now + tell us what it is. Which trackers are you having problems with, what ISP are we talking about and if you are a member of any private trackers, does your profile page say that you are connectible? Do you have any firewalls in place? e.g. windows firewall or a software firewall (may be a component of an antivirus package).

As a starting point, give us this information so that we have a better idea of what is going on. You could also look at a basic guide on being connectible and let us know if any of the steps there made any difference for you.

I'm going to change isp' s tomorrow witch i believe it is , since i turned off my firewall and av and it didn't help. I had seed box that would let others connect, I tried to simulate the same scenario on my PC i.e programs and OS. with no luck so the only diff i see is the isp. I'm quite efficient on setting ports and port sets and such (im no noob) and tried to many to list different av different firewalls diff... torrent clients while setting ports for all them diff... OS . Does anyone think it could be my hardware or bios 1 GB pci family modem from access communication. intel 7 , 12gb ddr2 ram, 5440hd vid , American standards bios.

I had this problem on a few trackers and all I did was change the port a few times till I found something that worked.
Try something in the 60,000 range like 60148 for example, then make sure its forwarded in the router and you allow it through your firewall.
If you dont know how to forward your port in your router post the make and model and you'll get some help with it. but you might get lucky and just change the port a few times till you get one that pops through for ya.But you will get better results with a 60,000 range.
if you do that you will be connectible.

If tried several Im currently using 22444 and tried real low and even higher but i could try some more i geuss. I've been at this for weeks know. I dont have a router and proficient at setting ports thanks for the advice ill give it a shot

It's not your ISP.
I wish you luck, but since you're reluctant to provide details about your setup, there's not much to base troubleshooting on.
