Maybe one of ur plugins is creating alot of cache?
It could be several things. That clearing your cache seems to resolve the problem is a great starting point.
Try increasing the cache size. Reinstalling plug ins.. scan the drive integrity in case a corrupt drive sector (inside the cache) is causing problems. In the worst case, reinstall the browser. But it doesn't really sound like that will be necessary. It's probably just a buggy site that is throwing some weird into the cache. Or a plugin that isn't playing nice. If you see any further symptoms or patterns that may let us narrow this down more - let us know.
