Also, @EvilWalks, when ppl are writing a long post, they sometimes use the word tracker level to desribe how difficult it is to get invites to that specific site for those who dont know it.

Most of the people who have posted has already helped you.
First analyze/ categorize what are your needs. Like whether it's books (fiction-nonfiction), applications (pc/mac), Games, movies etc
Then give a priority to what you are going to need the first.
Read about the private trackers. T-I has a list of all the trackers list and also reviews (These will help a lot the more you read about the tracker the better you are prepared for getting the invite and using it properly). You will come to know which are easy to get into first and which are hard ones.

Take a slow and a steady path. The torrents which are being added to the site you wish to join will be there for a plenty of time around.
